phBot is one of the oldest bots on Silkroad Online and is still under active development. Unlike most, it's a paid, official bot : it's maintained by ProjectHax, updates itself, and has real support behind it.
This guide covers what you need to know before paying and to get it up and running for the first time.
Compatible servers
If your private server isn't showing up, it should still work if you use one of those clients. It's the most frequently asked question on their forum.

- Navmesh — required for collision detection and automated missions. Check it.
- Minimap — so that the map tab displays the minimap, including caves.
- Plugins — only if you are going to use community plugins.

- Desktop shortcut — convenient, nothing more.
- Disable Windows Script Host — security option. If you don't use .vbs or .js scripts on your PC, leave it checked.
- DNS provider — you can choose Google, Cloudflare, or Quad9. Useful if your ISP blocks or slows down your access to the server.
- Clean install — erases the previous settings. Only select this option if you're coming from a problematic installation, as it will overwrite your settings.

First start
- Open phBot and enter your ProjectHax username and password . They are saved in phBot.ini , so you only need to do this once.
- Choose your region/server in the window that appears right after.
- Click Launch Client and select the folder where Silkroad is installed. The game will start and you can log in as usual.

What can he do?
- He goes to the farming area alone —he calculates the route himself, without walking scripts. Scripts still exist, but they are no longer required except in caves.
- Full combat — attack, buff yourself, buff the group, revive others, and change weapons depending on the skill you use.
- Pulling — drags monsters into your attack zone with abilities like Howling Shout. Very useful for botting in a party.
- Alchemy — bonus properties, alchemical stones (blue), attribute (white) and elementalize.
- Item filter — decides what is bought, sold, stored, or goes to the guild warehouse.
- Automatic purchase — restores HP, MP, and stamina when starting in town, and can be purchased from any NPC.
- Stall — set up the stall in the town cycle and it will reopen automatically if you disconnect.
- Mastery points and stats — you raise them only while you're botting.
- Attack log — lets you see who has attacked you. Pure gold if you're botting in Job Cave.
- Chat — send and receive messages and notes, with a block list. Gold spammers block themselves.
